Air-independent propulsion (AIP), or air-independent power, is a marine propulsion technology that allows a non-nuclear platform to operate without access to atmospheric oxygen (i.e. by surfacing or using a snorkel).

JALVASUB Engineering has a long experience working in AIP systems and currently is part of the SIDRONEMAR Program, along the University of A Coruña, Robdos, MINT and Moggaro Aluminum Yacht Shipyards.

The program is developing a UUV (Unmanned underwater vehicle).
