R&D&I

At JALVASUB, we want to provide highly innovative solutions to achieve increasingly clean and efficient energy societies, making new high-efficiency and safe energy generation systems available to the market, based on innovative PEM fuel cells that can be powered either by green hydrogen, hydrogen-rich gases from the reforming of biofuels or bioalcohols, and above all with green ammonia, the latter being stored efficiently and safely.

R&D&I sector

Our R&D&I efforts are focused on the continuous improvement of our products, with particular emphasis on:

Development of new catalysts with low or zero content of platinum or other metals that are in short supply and have a high acquisition cost.

Optimization of catalytic layers in CCS-type electrodes.

Improvement and industrialization of CCS electrode manufacturing processes, in particular using the electrospray catalytic deposition method.

Improvement and industrialization of MEA manufacturing and assembly methods.

Improvement and industrialization of bipolar plate manufacturing processes.

Improvement and industrialization of silicone joint deposition processes.

Development of ammonia cracking modules for integration into PEM fuel cell systems.

Development of storage and management systems for ammonia, stored in solid form, for integration into PEM fuel cell power generation systems.

lines of research

We design, manufacture, and test our own technology.
At JALVASUB, we have complete confidence in our technology, which is why we develop our own laboratories and equipment in-house, integrating advanced processes of design, CAD simulation, manufacturing, testing, and technical verification.
We have our own laboratories.
At the JALVASUB facilities, we have our own electrospray deposition laboratories (whose industrial operation is the exclusive property of JALVASUB) as well as specialized workstations and equipment for the manufacture of catalytic inks and MEAs, developed from our own formulations.
