At JALVASUB, we want to promote the decarbonization of the building sector by integrating clean and efficient energy solutions. To this end, we propose the incorporation of energy systems based on PEM fuel cells, powered either by high-pressure hydrogen, safely stored ammonia, or biogas, designed to continuously supply electricity and heat to residential, tertiary, and industrial buildings, thus significantly reducing carbon emissions in both new buildings and energy renovation projects.

COLHIBRI
The COLHIBRÍ project is an IDAE project that aims to accelerate industrial research in the field of heat and electricity cogeneration from biogas. It proposes an alternative value chain that includes the production of green H2 based on bioprocesses and its subsequent use in energy production using new fuel cells. The main advantages of this process are the elimination of polluting emissions from biogas combustion, an increase in electrical energy yield, and the energy integration of processes that improves the overall energy efficiency.
At JALVASUB, we are responsible for the containerized mobile fuel cell laboratory, which should be capable of generating 5 kW from reformed gas. This project lays the technological foundations for scaling up to higher power levels.
