JALVASUB promotes port decarbonization through advanced clean energy solutions. Our proposal is based on containerized power generation systems with PEM fuel cells, capable of operating using ammonia, stored in solid form, as an energy vector, a safe, efficient, and locally emission-free alternative.
In addition, we offer power generation systems specially designed for port cranes, such as RTGs or reach stackers, facilitating the integration of PEM technology into existing port equipment, guaranteeing performance and operational reliability even at critical peak demand times, and complying with current port decarbonization regulations. We also offer innovative energy solutions through containerized power generation systems for OPS (On-shore Power Supply), capable of powering ships at berth without resorting to diesel generators.
Our systems incorporate PEM fuel cell modules that operate with ammonia, taking advantage of solid-state storage, which maximizes fuel energy density and maximizes autonomy safely and efficiently. In addition, JALVASUB provides auxiliary power generation (APU) services, guaranteeing support when redundant power or operational backup is required, thus ensuring maximum energy availability at all times.

On-shore Power Supply (OPS) for vessels
JALVASUB offers a service specially designed for on-shore power supply (OPS) for ships, using containerized power generation systems equipped with PEM fuel cells capable of running on ammonia, which is stored in solid form.
Containerized auxiliary power units (APUs)
We have auxiliary power unit (APU) services capable of covering peak demand or unforeseen operational events. These units ensure immediate and redundant power backup, maintaining continuity of supply under any conditions.
Containerized power generation systems for cranes
JALVASUB proposes the use of containerised power generation systems with buffer batteries to meet the power demands of port cranes, such as RTG cranes.
Completed projects
e-H2 RTG
Pre-commercial Ports 4.0 project consisting of the development of a hydrogen-powered RTG crane demonstrator. This is a wholly Spanish joint development with PACECO MOMENTUM, a Spanish company specializing in the global port logistics market.
JALVASUB has developed a technological demonstrator of a containerized power generator suitable for electrically powering PACECO Momentum’s RTG cranes, which integrates a modular 40 kW PEM fuel cell system.
